The Story of the Power of Florence

    Power of Florence

July 18, 2015 will be the Fifth Annual Power of Florence.  In 2012 the Florence City Council dedicated the third Saturday in July every year to be known as the Power of Florence, a day dedicated to volunteering, giving back, and making a difference.  The goal is to get as many people as possible to get involved.  Join us and be counted as we have fun and work together, making Florence an even better place to live.

Check out the fun we all had while making a difference in 2013:

2013 Power of Florence

This is the 3rd Annual Power of Florence, a city-wide day of service organized by 13 year old Kaylee Graham. In three years, on the Power of Florence days, our community has had more than 3,000 participants, raised more than $25,000 for community non-profits, over 7,000 pounds of food has been collected, and 37 community service projects were completed.  Most importantly, we've come together as a community, sharing that feeling you can't get anywhere else.   2013 was another incredibly successful year! Thank you to everyone who participated.
